District 9 residents may be eligible for childcare support and vocational training through a $4.8 million grant program aimed at helping single parents reenter the workforce.
Eligible parents in need of affordable child care to transition back to employment can receive up to $1,000 per month for six months. Unlicensed family members are not allowed to receive grant funds for child care services. The program will also provide financial resources to licensed childcare providers who were negatively impacted by the pandemic.
