Councilmember Price and his Team joined legions of volunteers on Jan. 26 to take part in the 2023 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count.
This year's count bears great importance given the recent emergency declaration made by Mayor Bass over homelessness. Participation in the annual census is critically important as it has a direct impact on determining the distribution of funding opportunities, services and support for unhoused neighbors which is critical here in Los Angeles.
“If we are to overcome this humanitarian crisis, it must continue to be an all-hands on deck approach,” said Councilmember Price. “Every person living on the streets has a story about how they got there, but we do not want it to end there, we want to help them open a new chapter. Every day we’re making progress and one day we will end homelessness in Los Angeles.”
