The City Council unanimously approved amending the Los Angeles Municipal Code to allow the Department of Transportation to designate stalls or spaces on public streets or in a publicly-owned parking facility for the exclusive use of charging and parking a vehicle that is connected for electric charging. This will allow more chargers to come online faster, and it will be a critical step to help ensure that the City is able to meet its goals for the decarbonization of the transportation sector in the coming decade To read the ordinance, click here.
