Councilmember Price joined the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, Bureau of Engineering and community members Friday to celebrate the groundbreaking of the McKinley Traffic Circle, a $1.5 million project that will bring much welcomed safety amenities to the local area.

This long-anticipated project at the intersection of McKinley Avenue and 88th Place is imperative to addressing the safety concerns of bicyclists and pedestrians who travel to Green Meadows Recreation Center, Dymally High School and around the local community.

Safety benefits will include a four-way stop that will completely halt speeding and slow down vehicles as they enter the intersection, curb improvements that are ADA compliant, and increased accessibility/visibility.
