The LA City Council adopted a resolution in support of the issuance of a commemorative U.S. Postage stamp in honor of acclaimed boxer and civil rights advocate, Muhammad Ali. Ali was the 1960 Olympic light heavyweight boxing gold medalist, three-time heavyweight champion of the world, and Sports Illustrated Athlete of the 20th Century. Whether fighting in the ring or fighting for social justice and equality, this cultural icon lives on as a symbol of courage, perseverance and a true champion. To read the motion, click here.
