Safer at Home
Dear Neighbors,

The fourth Inside Safe operation in Council District 9 took place on March 12 in collaboration with Mayor Karen Bass along Avalon Boulevard and East Vernon Avenue, where more than 10 unhoused Angelenos were successfully brought indoors with the ultimate objective of transitioning them into permanent housing.

My Office remains at the forefront of efforts to combat homelessness, steadily advancing towards our commitment to provide safe and dignified housing for our most vulnerable neighbors. With a shared purpose and a unified mission, we are confident that our great City of Angels will one day be able to bring every Angeleno home and provide them with the necessary services, treatment and support to thrive.

By locking arms with the Mayor, we will continue to deliver for Los Angeles and achieve the results we have all been desperately seeking. Since December 2022, more than 21,000 Angelenos have come inside, with the Mayor’s executive directive expediting the development of more than 13,000 units of affordable housing in Los Angeles.

With hope and in solidarity,
