Celebrating Dia de los Muertos

Dia de Los Muertos
Dear Neighbors,

To commemorate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), Team Price invited District 9 neighbors to participate in an "ofrenda" at our Nov. 2 Central Avenue Farmers' Market. We extend our gratitude to all community members who joined us in placing flowers and photographs of their departed loved ones.

Día de los Muertos is an annual celebration of life where we honor our ancestors. This deep-rooted, longstanding tradition is celebrated in Mexico and other parts of Latin America on Nov. 1 and 2, allowing families and communities to come together to dance, feast and remember those who came before us.

The heartwarming display of love and gratitude that unfolded at our weekly farmers market in CD 9 brought an immense smile to my face. It beautifully exemplifies the rich tapestry of diversity that defines Los Angeles and reaffirms our commitment to cultivating a strong sense of belonging and promoting inclusive values.
