The LA City Council approved a report from the Transportation Committee asking the City Attorney to prepare and present an ordinance that will amend Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) Section 88.66. That will allow the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) to designate stalls or spaces on a public street or in a publicly owned parking facility for the exclusive use of charging and parking a vehicle that is connected for electric charging.
