Exciting news: construction of Inell Woods Park at 87th Street and McKinley Avenue will begin on Feb. 1.
This future community pocket park is named after the late Inell Woods, a long-time resident and community champion for District 9. The 16,000-square-foot park will include a playground, exercise equipment, seating areas and plenty of healthy new trees. Councilmember Price was instrumental in securing over $1.5 million in funding for the development of this innovative, eco-friendly neighborhood park, which is expected to open this summer.
