On Aug. 19, District 9 families had a unique experience at the GRAMMY Museum taking a close look at the remarkable journey of philanthropist and global musical superstar, Shakira, who has sold more than 85 million records worldwide and has won numerous prestigious awards.
Inside the museum’s permanent Latin Music Gallery, local children and adults engaged with interactive music stations, had the opportunity to watch three original films showcased within the exhibit and get up close to dozens of artifacts from Shakira's personal archive, including iconic costumes and treasured instruments. The event was enriched with live music and traditional dance, adding to its cultural vibrancy.
