The Gage Avenue Green Corridor Project has improved a section of Gage Avenue, from Central Avenue to Avalon Boulevard, by incorporating protected bike lanes. There are also upcoming plans to install raised landscape median islands in this area.

These upgrades aim to foster a safer environment for cyclists and pedestrians, calm traffic, improve air quality and beautify the area with more trees and landscaping. The latest efforts were made possible through the collaborative efforts of Councilmember Price, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT), StreetsLA, and the Bureau of Engineering.

Since taking office, Councilman Price has spearheaded initiatives aimed at enhancing street safety and accessibility for all modes of transportation, including biking, walking, taking transit, or driving. Additionally, he has been instrumental in the development of a 20-mile CD 9 Bicycle Network, which links residents to entertainment centers, employment hubs, affordable housing facilities, open spaces, and numerous other destinations.
