Councilmember Price welcomed the Green Meadows All-Stars to Council Chambers on Oct. 27, for a special presentation commemorating their first Rec & Parks Citywide Championship in both the Minor and Major divisions of the Spring ‘23 PlayLA Baseball League.
Team Price organized transportation to and from City Hall, and to honor their accomplishment, the budding athletes were treated to a pizza party.
“Green Meadows Recreation Center is recognized as a pillar of community engagement in CD 9, and these children are a fine example of what hard work, hunger and passion can accomplish,” Councilman Price said. “I am immensely proud of these boys and girls and the village behind them that got them to this sweet victory. Even more so, I am excited to see what their ambition and drive will lead them in the future.”
