On Oct. 5, Team Price joined Sustainable Economic Enterprises of Los Angeles (SEE-LA) to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the Central Avenue Farmers' Market!
For two decades, this beloved local farmers’ market has made significant progress in addressing the food desert issue in South Central LA. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of SEE-LA, in collaboration with Council District 9, this bustling marketplace offers a wide array of fresh fruits, vegetables, and locally sourced products that are abundantly available week after week, rain or shine!
“This farmers’ market, conveniently located outside of my District Office, serves as a testament to the belief that regardless of one's zip code, everyone deserves access to fresh and nutritious food options,” stated Councilmember Price during a special presentation that included live mariachi music, cake, piñatas, face painting and raffles.
