On Oct. 25, Councilmember Price recognized Pastor Patricia Strong-Fargas of Mt. Salem-New Wave Christian Fellowship for National Clergy Appreciation Month. Since 2008, Pastor Strong-Fargas has worked to transform and expand Mt. Salem-New Wave Christian Fellowship Church in innovative and progressive ways.
As a devoted leader and community advocate, Pastor Strong-Fargas has emerged as one of the most prominent figures in District 9 today. Team Price commends her contributions to both the South LA community and the City at large, and applaud her efforts in promoting social and economic equity, safety, and environmental justice.
