The City Council adopted a resolution of support for AB 3121 (Weber) that develops a task force to study and develop proposals for reparations for African Americans in California. The bill was authored after repeated calls that reparations must be paid to African Americans in California because of the decades of trauma and economic hardship caused by slavery.
