Councilmember Price joined dozens of community members on Aug. 8 for a Green Meadows Park Advisory Board meeting to discuss the implementation of a $7 million Prop 68 grant that the park has received.
During the meeting, participants listened to presentations from the LA Department of Recreation & Parks, outlining the proposed improvements slated for the local CD 9 recreation center. Additionally, the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) presented a sustainability project that aims to bring green energy to the park, including the installation of solar panels, EV charging stations, and storage batteries.
The gathering provided an opportunity for community members to voice their opinions and preferences on the desired improvements, ensuring that they have a say in the future of their neighborhood park.
